Questions
Direct Mail FAQ
What's the difference between First-Class and USPS Marketing Mail?
First-Class is faster (1–5 days) and includes return service, but costs more per piece. Marketing Mail (formerly Standard) is the workhorse for bulk advertising — 3–10 days delivery and significantly lower postage. We help you pick the right class based on time sensitivity and budget.
Do you handle EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail)?
Yes. EDDM lets you target every household on a USPS carrier route without buying a list. It works well for local services, restaurants, and retail. We print, bundle by route, and drop at the post office for you.
How does variable data printing work?
You supply a list with the fields you want personalized — names, offers, account numbers, QR codes pointing to personalized URLs. Our presses pull from the list row-by-row so every piece is unique. No extra setup fee.
What's NCOA and why do I need it?
NCOA (National Change of Address) is a USPS database of address changes from the past 48 months. Running your list through NCOA before mailing catches movers, removes undeliverables, and is required to qualify for automation postage discounts. We include it on every campaign.
